2. Develop Concept Plans for:

•      Specific lots to specific clients specs to determine the feasibly of prospect on offered tract.

•      Commercial and Industrial Park concept plans.

3. Appian requires all employees, upon hiring, to sign an NDA.

•      We work with notably large utility agencies under NDA's; meeting strict security requirements in         work  performed  for them.

4. Appian is an NCDOT Prequalified Consulting Firm and NCDOT Small Professional Services Firm.                Under  this title, Appian is approved for Visualization, Technical Services and Building Site Design,            Facilities Management, and Unmanned Aircraft Aviation.

5. Appian has worked with and is familiar with many of the State Agencies and personnel involved in              Economic Development, including the NCDOT.

OPPIE JORDAN, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT MANAGER AT APPIAN ENGINEERS, PA

Oppie Jordan has been an economic developer since 1996 to present. She began as  President of Edgecombe County Development Corporation and now serves as Economic Development Partner with Appian Consulting Engineers, PA, with a focus on economic development for the City of Rocky Mount, Town of Tarboro, and Edgecombe County.​

​

While she was with Carolinas Gateway Partnership, Oppie has been responsible for or assisted in the recruiting or expansion of 30-40 major projects to the region which has added over 31,000 new jobs and $3 billion in tax base. 

She has also been instrumental in creating 3 business parks in the region: The Kingsboro Business Park is currently considered the most shovel-ready site in North Carolina. Ms. Jordan is well known in the economic development circle and is noted for her passion for clients and citizens in her region.

Oppie completed the Leadership NC courses, served on the Board of NCEDA, and has served on the Advisory Committee of the NCEDP. She is also a very active member of the Legislative Committee as well as a member of the North Carolina Economic Development Association and SEDC.
